If you’re a fashion obsessive who lives online, chances are the City Wide Celebration (CWC) is already on your radar. But if you’ve somehow missed the memo, here’s the short version: the CWC is a public programme filled with one-of-a-kind fashion experiences and activations. Originally launched alongside London Fashion Week, the much-loved initiative is making a comeback – and this time, it’s going on tour.

That’s right, the British Fashion Council (BFC) is taking the celebration beyond the capital. While London is still at the heart of it all, this September the CWC will also light up Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle with a city-by-city takeover of style, creativity and conversation.

But the CWC is more than just a string of events. It’s a nationwide moment where designers, retailers, cultural institutions and hospitality venues join forces to spotlight the best of British fashion. Across all four cities, you’ll find a vibrant line-up of activations, collaborations and public programming that blend culture and commerce, support local retail, and bring people together through shared creativity.

Bringing even more energy to this year’s programme is the launch of AT HOME WITH, a new talk series presented by 1664 Blanc. This cross-country series explores the regional influences that have shaped some of Britain’s most exciting design voices. Expect candid conversations and inspiring stories from names like Barbour, Kazna Asker, Matty Bovan, Nadine Merabi, Patrick McDowell, S.S. Daley, Talia Byre, and The Winter House — all proving that great British fashion comes from every corner of the map.

The new series aligns perfectly with BFC CEO Laura Weir’s vision to broaden the spotlight beyond London, celebrating the full scope of talent found across the UK. It also connects with the Fashion Assembly, an upcoming education initiative led by Sarah Mower, the BFC’s Ambassador for Emerging Talent. Launching in schools in 2026, it’s designed to inspire and support the next generation of British fashion creatives from an early age.

Together, the City Wide Celebration and the Fashion Assembly signal an exciting new chapter for British fashion. One that’s rooted in place, driven by purpose and full of possibility.
