Central Cee, DoRoad, Dave: South London rapper Kwengface shares what he had On Repeat whilst writing new EP “Victim Of Circumstance”.
“Victim of Circumstance” is a significant step up from South London rapper Kwengface. Amongst the most raw and unadulterated players to emerge from the drill scene in the latter years of the 2010s, Kweng’s trajectory was stifled by a short stint behind bars. But since he’s been released, he’s changed his ways; now a father and reflective of the younger, troubled years of his life.
“Victim Of Circumstance” is a project that shows the rapper’s deft technical ability and thoughtful penmanship. The EP keeps Kweng’s drill core at its heart but pushes his sound into new terrain. He stopped by Wonderland to share what influenced him in our latest On Repeat.

Kwengface Is On Repeat…
The lead track from the EP “Victim Of Circumstance” was written over Central Cee – “Entrepreneur”.
“2 Summers” came from me writing over Dave & Jack Harlow – “Stop Giving Me Advice”.
“Monstrosity” featuring Jungle was a product of us listening to DoRoad and Tiny Boast – “Criminal” and PYG – “Line Up” ft Shockz, Y Killa, Tiny Darko & Tiny Boost). Those tracks helped bring “Monstrosity” to life.
There were two tracks that really inspired me to make this EP while I was inside. There was KB – “Boys Don’t Cry” and Kay Money – “Just A Girl”.
Then finally there was Dgwalla – HF, this gave me the vision to jump on that Brazilian funk-style drill beat.
