Rising singer-songwriter TS Graye discusses her influence, core essence, and the making of her new EP, “All for Love”.
The sonic world of TS Graye expands tenfold on her sleek, confident and emotionally potent new EP “All for Love”. There’s a growth in her alt-leaning R&B base, with touches of colour and feeling sprawled across the six-pronged opus.
Lyrically, the Wiltshire-raised singer-songwriter tackles romantic love and the joy and turmoil that arises from it, as well as her own sensuality and relationship with self. Assured and alluring, the EP is a stamp of its maker’s pop capabilities. Wonderland spoke with Graye around the release, to chat influences, essence and the making of the new EP.

Talk us through your upbringing in Wiltshire—did you always want to move away from small town life?
I didn’t want to move at first as it was all I’d known & all of my friends were there, but I knew I wouldn’t grow if I stayed. The first 2 years living in London were really hard & I went back home every weekend, but after that I started to make friends which made it easier! Now London feels like home to me.
How did you first fall in love with music, and how did you find your talent?
My parents always played the best music growing up, from the likes of Andy Williams, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra & so on! But the moment I truly fell in love with music was watching Christina Aguilera “dirty” on MTV. I would ask my mum to put it on repeat! The music video was so iconic. When I was around 11/12 years old, someone introduced me to Lana Del Rey & I would say that’s when I started to appreciate writing, music & everything that comes with it! I got into music artistry through my Mum. She heard a voice note of me singing that I had recorded on her phone & then cashed in her Tesco club card vouchers & booked me into a recording studio haha. I was so nervous, but as soon as I started, I couldn’t stop!
How would you define the essence and evolution of your artistry?
I love the element of surprise so that’s always been a common theme within my music in terms of some sort of switch up happening. I think the lyricism has evolved from made up stories to real life, although I still like writing pretend stories sometimes. I think it’s evolved the most because a lot of the inspiration comes from my friends and myself, and as we’ve grown, so have our lives/ problems haha.
How do you reflect on your sonic catalogue and career journey to date?
I love hearing parts of 18-year-old Graye’s music in what I’m releasing now. I’m proud of her for putting out what felt right at the time!
Congratulations on your new EP “All for Love”! How are you feeling about the release?
Thank you! I’m so excited that it’s out! There’s always a bunch of emotions that come with releasing something you’ve been working on for over a year, but overall, it feels great. The project is the world’s now, not mine!
Talk us through your process of creation for the project? Did it differ from your debut EP?
The process was honestly just going into the studio every day with Omri (the exec producer) and talking, hanging out & creating. It was amazing. There was one song we kept going back to which was “All for Love” (the song not the EP haha), another song (green light) that came from an idea we put down on “Flowers”, etc. It was magical & just felt like each song blossomed a new idea to create the next. I felt like everything just poured out of me
What are the sonic influences behind the EP? Where does the work fit into the wider musical landscape?
Sonically, I always love the drama & the influences come from the likes of Frank Sinatra, The Weeknd, Lana Del Rey, Frank Ocean, The Blaze, etc. I don’t really think about fitting into a wider musical landscape, for me, it’s important to always put out what feels authentic and right to me!
What are you portraying through your lyricism across the EP?
It sounds basic but love. I think everything that I’ve written on this EP came from a place of love. There’s so many different feelings and emotions that come under the umbrella of love, and saying it’s just one feeling would be a lie. All the songs have been me just speaking my truth.
What do you hope that the project achieves?
I hope it helps people to feel more connected with their feelings, themselves & other people. I just hope that people love it!
What does the rest of 2025 have in store for you?
Releasing a lot more music and some other exciting things under wraps!
