The artist presents “5AM”, a project that not only matches the quality of her previous EP but exceeds it. Inspired by the New York nightlife, where she frequently DJed, “5AM” captures the pulse and energy of those late-night moments.

Although, in general terms, the EP is loaded with mostly danceable and cheerful beats, each of the 13 songs on the album has a certain and unique style.

“hell” is the first track and has a somber and dramatic vibe. Next is “stranger” with an atmosphere of nostalgia and overlapping vocals that add even more depth to the track.

“temptation” is the third track on the album and emerges as a collaboration with Leah Wasilewski. It is a beat that transmits calm and a touch of sensuality with minimalist instrumentation.

D’Arcy has made it clear that “5AM” “is about the sleepless nights, the early mornings, or somewhere in between. The songs echo a range of emotions experienced at that special time of day when the world is quiet and your thoughts are loud”.

“insomnia” is the ninth song on this EP and is an exact example of the album’s description. A song that conveys the feeling of despair that can be felt when not being able to fall asleep or, in metaphorical terms, not being able to disconnect from reality. The title track, “5AM,” also connects with the experiences of insomnia using a mix of electronic sounds and progressive rhythms.

Known as a prolific performer, the artist has played over 80 shows and has supported well-known bands including She Wants Revenge and Lee DeWyze. Undoubtedly, with this new album, D’Arcy makes a powerful return to the music scene—one already familiar with her talent, but now with even more material to appreciate the evolution of her artistry.
