B3XX FT. WE DAHOMIES – “ORANGE SILK”

The dynamic neo-soul singer-songwriter follows up 2024’s “Solar Plexus” EP with an embellished live performance, “Orange Silk”.

Hailing from Florida, B3XX has built a devoted and ever-growing fanbase drawn to her rich, nuanced sound and unrelenting authenticity. Her deeply personal discography often explores themes of love, self-discovery, and empowerment, and her latest live performance, “Orange Silk”, is no exception. Teaming up with the electrifying We DaHomies, B3XX delivers a spellbinding, live-centric track that highlights their undeniable chemistry—adding yet another mesmerising and vibrant chapter to her body of work.

Recorded at the intimate and atmospheric Warm Studios, “Orange Silk” opens with sunlit, pared-back percussion and delicate, honeyed guitar strings, setting the stage for B3XX’s lush, expansive vocals to take both figurative and literal centre stage. As the performance unfolds, B3XX and We DaHomies seamlessly blend their artistry, crafting an enchanting, emotionally charged musical backdrop that perfectly complements her soaring, soul-stirring delivery.

Diving into the narrative inspirations behind the track, B3XX shares, “I hold this song very close to my heart because it was the first track I wrote after the dust had settled from a tough situation in my music career. It was the song that made me feel like I could really make it as an independent artist. I went in the studio with the intention of only writing about positive things, so of course, I chose to write about my relationship. I wanted to write in as much detail as possible so that the song could capture how this love truly made me feel. ‘Floating in violet skies,’ ‘here where your love surrounds me,’ ‘warm like sun in July.’ I needed my listeners to know that love doesn’t have to be painful or frustrating, but that it can be soft like rolling in Orange Silk.”
