At the heart of the project is the visionary creative force, CP Fletcher, who collaborates with classically trained pianist Albert Català and meticulous studio maestro Valentín Nieto, ensuring every detail is finely honed. Together, they unveil their highly anticipated new EP, “Summertime Love”.
Recorded in just a few whirlwind weeks at Barcelona’s Mini Blind Studios, “Summertime Love” is an electrifying addition to A Permanent Shadow’s discography. Bursting with eccentric, dancefloor-commanding anthems, the EP showcases the group’s innate talent for crafting lush, textured arrangements that balance intricate musicianship with irresistible energy. Their sound is defined by pulsating basslines, shimmering synth layers, and angular guitar riffs, all underpinned by driving percussion that echoes the urgency of classic new wave. Fletcher’s rich, commanding vocals add a brooding intensity, seamlessly weaving through atmospheric melodies and hypnotic grooves.
