Diving into the release of “Dirty Dutch Vol. 1”, Barbara explains, “”Dirty Dutch Vol. 1” brings back positive memories of California since it marked the first time collaborating with my Dirty Dutch brothers. On “Common People”, I enjoyed leaning into a dark, dead pan style of vocal delivery. With “SexyBack”, my muse called upon me to release a siren call, and I answered (which came really naturally). You first hear it in the intro and then arpeggiated throughout the track. These covers mark the first of a few Dirty Dutch volumes, all dark interpretations of classics.”
