From playing the bigger stages across the planet—Glastonbury to Drumsheds, Vent Tokyo to Kappa Futur Festival—to offering a unique and undeniable production credo, Paula Tape is a name worth unravelling. The Chilean DJ and producer has just shared her new EP, “Acid Latino”, an intoxicating four track blend of acid house, psychedelia, and traditional sounds like salsa. It’s trance-laden and engrossing, a dream-or-dance-inducing listen.

To celebrate the release, Wonderland asked Paula to round up the tracks that influenced her whilst sh was making the EP.

Listen to “Acid Latino”…

Check out Paula’s On Repeat…

Orbital – “Chime Crime”

Such a legendary track alway on my bag, I love how they play with the trance gate and all the elements the mood and the ambience created Orbital always such an inspiration.

The RIM – “Screamers”

I love all in here… the craziness, acidity, love the M1 on it I play this one almost every time I play.

Daft Punk – “Around the World”

Classic, the lead I think really inspires me in “De2 Locura”.

The Beloved – “Motivation”

Serious groover.

The System – “You’re In My System (Atmospheric Spanish Vocal)”

The bassline here is fat, heavy and very Housey all the mood around in this Spanish version is just perfection.

Proyecto Uno – “Todo El Mundo (Everybody Everybody)”

I mean, Proyecto Uno was, is and will always be a great inspiration for me… everything that is Latin House, just as they know how.

Mush – “Test 66 (Chez Damier Dub)”

The way Chez Damier does it has always inspired me so much as producer and DJ such a legend, love all the percussion and sickness on this dub version.

Kel Kweyo (Joaquin Joe Claussell Remix)

I just love all in this track, the trumpet, the acid baseline, the percussion, everything. I play this one so many times and never get tired!
